Hello! My name is Sheila Mullane Estrada. When considering bringing a stranger into your home, I know how important it is to get to know that person, their background, and their ability to care for your pets. I would want no less.

Since I was five years old, I have never been without an animal companion. The reason? They make me smile and help me forget all my worries.

My dogs’ joyful exuberances and unquestioning love enthrall me. My royally aloof but secretly devoted felines train me well to remember their breakfast, dinner, treats, and their always-soft chin and belly rubs.

The list of my family’s animal friends is long and diverse — from the traditional dog and cat to the more exotic boa, monitor lizard and tarantula spider. In between I have marveled at and cared for goldfish and their finned cousins, a Cockatiel, mice, rabbits, gerbils, chickens, and a duck I named Lucky. I have admired and learned from my beloved horses and am always fascinated by the many creatures that live still free in the wild.

Professionally, I have had an diverse work life as a freelance writer and designer focused on humanitarian and societal issues, as an award-winning journalist, a sales consultant to Fortune 500 companies, and a hunter-jumper horse trainer whose clients competed throughout the state and nationally. 

Three years ago, I began an informal dog walking and pet sitting service, rediscovering the joy and fulfillment of being with and caring for new animal friends while helping people manage their busy lives.

That experience led to the formation of Fur Fins n Feathers, which offers affordable and professional pet and home care services to our neighbors and friends. Soon, we hope to extend our services to allow our clients to save substantially on the very best pet supplies and pet toys delivered direct to their homes.
